A packaging equipment manufacturer required a custom no-crush wheel for use in a high-speed corrugated board production line.

The customized wheel was manufactured with the following parameters:
- Outer Diameter: 170 mm
- Inner Bore: 90 mm
- Width / Thickness: 50 mm
- Hardness: 65A
- Outer Ring Thickness: 6.20 mm
- Internal Rib Thickness: 3.50 mm






Structural Design
The wheel features a dual-structure polyurethane design, consisting of:
- A soft outer PU ring that ensures gentle, non-marking contact with the corrugated board
- A reinforced internal rib structure that provides mechanical strength and dimensional stability
This structure enables the wheel to maintain both flexibility and durability, which is essential in no-crush applications.
Manufacturing & Quality Control
All critical dimensions were carefully controlled during production to ensure consistent performance and compatibility with the customer’s equipment system.
The hardness of 65A was selected to achieve an optimal balance between cushioning performance and load support.
Result
The customized no-crush wheel delivered stable and reliable performance in operation, ensuring smooth conveying without damaging the board surface.
The solution successfully met the customer’s requirements for both precision and durability in a continuous production environment.
